IT'S TIME TO GO HOME!

It's November 22, 2008 and I am in Pittsburgh, at home. It is freezing outside and I am cold to the bone. It's a long way to Spring when the course reopens, but while I am waiting, I will take the time to tell you about my family of which I am very proud and love. I figure who in the hell cares, but it is cold outside, there is no golf and I have to do something, so here goes.

Owner Pete Messina's is permanently married and during the off season, lives with his wife Marilyn and 19 year old daughter. Marilyn graduated from Temple University and the University of Penn in Philadelphia. She has been teaching in public schools for 40 years. She is currently teaching 5th grade at the Penn-Hebron Elementary School in the Penn Hills School District. In her spare time, Marilyn is an elected school board member for the Woodland Hills School District where she is currently serving as the President. Marilyn is also president of the Eastern Area School and an active member of the Allegheny IU (AIU).

Pete has two married daughters. Jeanmarie graduated from LaSalle U. in Philadelphia. She is a registered nurse working in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Patricia graduated from Temple U. Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She is a self employed commercial artist, working outside of Philadelphia, Pa. Sharon is a self employed animal specialist working and living in the Shadyside/Squirrel Hill sections of Pittsburgh.

KC is a first year college student and works part time at Bruegger's Bakery in Squirrel Hill.

Marilyn is considering retiring in 2009 which means I will have another helping hand.

We would love it if you came out to play golf and meet my family.
